Franklin County Backs NCCC Master Plan Concept  North Country Community College has now secured “conceptual” approval from both of its sponsoring counties on a proposed $56 million expansion and upgrade of its Saranac Lake campus. Franklin County legislators, stressing that their support includes no financial commitments, signed off on the master plan Thursday. The Essex County Board of Supervisors and the college Board of Trustees had endorsed it last month.  The plan now goes to the State University of New York for approval.  (click here for the story)
