No Border Fees Amendment Gets Unanimous Approval in Committee
The House Appropriations Committee today unanimously passed an amendment introduced by Congressman Bill Owens that would halt the proposed study of a “border fee.” Owens introduced the amendment as part of the mark-up for the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Bill.

Child Safety Seat Clinic
New York State Police, Troop “B”, along with the Adirondack Medical Center and North Country Home Services will be hosting a child safety seat clinic at the Troop “B” Headquarters, Ray Brook, New York on Wednesday October 10th, 2012 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM. Adults who are responsible for providing transportation for children of all ages are encouraged to attend. Technicians will be on hand to inspect seats, assist with installations, provide information and answer questions regarding child seat safety.
