Each year the Saranac Lake Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks #1508 and all Elks throughout the US set aside the First Sunday in December to remember absent members. This year the service will be on Sunday, December 2nd, at 5pm at the Elks Lodge, 30 Bloomingdale ave.
This year, the Elks will remember Mary D. Baker, Wendell Dean Naegele II, Raymond H. Patnode, Andrew J. Fortune, Raymond A. LaRose, David H. Munn and Joseph Gabriel Quigley.
It’s a poignant ceremony and a special time of remembrance. Family Members of those who are remembering are invited to attend along with Village Board and other officials. A Potluck Dinner will follow the service.
