No Border Fees Amendment Gets Unanimous Approval in Committee
The House Appropriations Committee today unanimously passed an amendment introduced by Congressman Bill Owens that would halt the proposed study of a “border fee.” Owens introduced the amendment as part of the mark-up for the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Bill.

Senior Game Night – Saranac Village at Will Rogers
Senior Game Night!
On Saturday, November 17th from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Saranac Village at Will Rogers will hold a Senior Game Night for all interested participants age 55 and older. Learn about how playing games can help keep you mentally sharp as you age and then play and/or learn a variety of games held at different locations around the historic building.
Games to be played include Trivial Pursuit, Qwirkle, Wii Bowling, Yahtzee, Bridge, Scrabble, Pool, Ping Pong, Darts and Pinochle. If you are interested in more than one game, feel free to move around!
Game night is free and transportation will be provided within Saranac Lake. Please call Debbie Kanze at (518) 891-7117 if you will need a ride. All games can be played without reservation except for Bridge, so please RSVP for this game if you wish to attend.
