The 17th annual “Joy of Giving” Children’s Party will be held on Saturday, December 8th from 2:30pm until 5pm at the Paul Smith’s College Forestry Club Cabin.
Attendees will enjoy:

A Holiday Tea and Ornament Sale will be held at St. Eustace Church on Saturday, Dec 8th From 3:30-5:00 PM. This is part of the Holiday Stroll Celebration just before activities in the Bandshell at 5 PM.
Hot Drinks, Refreshments, Music, Warmth and Fellowship are offered.
A Christmas Sale of lovely old ornaments is planned.
A spaghetti dinner for Lucille Richardson is being held on December 8, 2012 from 5-7pm. Members of the First United Church located at 63 Church Street in Saranac Lake will be hosting the dinner to help Lucille who suffered a fall resulting in serious injuries earlier this year and continues to incur expenses not covered by insurance. A donation of $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under is requested. Speghetti with meat sauce or a veggie marinara sauce, salad, garlic bread, beverage and a choice of dessert will be offered. The Lake Placid High School JV Girls Basketball Team, Kiwanis Builder’s Club and Key Club are sponsoring a benefit dinner to support Nick Kulina and his family on Tuesday, December 11, 2012. A 2009 graduate of LPM/HS, Nick is undergoing extensive treatment to combat an aggressive form of non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. Dinner will be served at the Lake Placid Middle/High School Cafeteria from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. The dinner will include baked ziti, salad, bread and desert for a suggested donation of $8. Take out will be available.
All proceeds will help to defray medical bills and related expenses.

Today is the day that Dawn Rogers and her helpers will be making distributions to more than 245 young children and their families in Saranac Lake. Donations up until this point can be dropped off at the Best Western in Saranac Lake and Goody Goody’s on Main Street.
The Saranac Lake Fish and Game Club will sponsor its Annual Christmas Pie Sale on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the Blue Line Sports Shop on Main Street in Saranac Lake.
The sale stars at 9am and runs through 1pm. All pies and other baked goods are homemade by memeber of the club, which includes some of the finest bakers in town.
Event Chairperson, Bob Brown has been running the event for over 30 years and expects a great turnout. “We will have over 50 pies at the sale to include a variety of fruit and berry pies. I also expect some homemade breads, cakes and cookies.
Brown indicated that customers should come to the sale first hour or two in order to have the biggest selection. “Our baked goods make great gifts for holiday dinner parties and excellent deserts to grace your own table.”
