A Bill allowing Adirondack Medical Center in Lake Placid to continue to operate it’s Emergency Room during the day while closing at night passed in the Senate 62 to 1 in favor..  In the assembly, the proposal never made it to the floor for a vote.

Saranac Seniors Top the Graduation Stats

Saranac Lake Seniors are among the highest percentage of those looking to move into college. High School Principal Bruce VanWeelden says 40.5% of students scored above a 75 on the ELA regents and 80 on the math regents (The Aspirational Performance Measure) Other Schools included Long Lake at 37.5%, Tupper Lake at 32.4%, Malone with 30.9%, Brushton Moira students scored a 30.6% ratio, Chateaugay 26.7%, Lake Placid 24.3%, St Regis Falls 14.7% and Salmon River at 13.8%.
