On Tuesday, July 10th, 2012 Plattsburgh City Police ticketed Tyler Brassard 22, ofEllenburgh CenterNY, for his connection to the early morning car accident that destroyed the Plattsburgh Public Library overnight book depository. During the investigation, Mr. Brassard was found to be operating his 2001 Ford Taurus at the time of the accident. Brassard told officers he fled from the scene because he was scared.  Brassard was charged with the following:  Driving wrong way on a one way street, Leaving the scene of a property damage accident, Reckless Driving (an unclassified misdemeanor) Speed not reasonable or prudent, and Driving on sidewalk.  Brassard was released on tickets scheduled to appear in Plattsburgh City Court on July 24th, 2012 at 8:30am.
