Phase II Funding Granted for Adk Regional Airport

The Town of Harrietstown is again the recipient of a federal grant for the Adirondack Regional Airport.. Congressman Bill Owens says the Adirondack Regional Airport keeps the nation connected to larger regional hubs like Boston and gives tourists convenient access to the Adirondacks.. The United States Department of Transportation grant will fund the design stage of a project to repair the airports terminal apron, which has deteriorated from water intrusion and poor drainage.. it will also fund the design of a plan to replace drain pipes underneath the apron to address the lack of subsurface drainage..

Boil Water Order Issued for Olive Street in Saranac Lake

Residents of Olive Street from Sumner to Williams, Leona and Olive Street from Williams to 92 Olive are under a boil water order this morning.. The Boil Water order is being issued as a precaution because a water main break interrupted the water service and caused low water line pressures throughout the distribution system.. That means there’s a possibility that contamination may have been able to enter the distribution system. The Commissioner of Health says water should be boiled in a clean container for at least one minute after a rolling boil is obtained…

County Wide Crackdown on Drugs Nets Over 40 Arrests
