General Contest Rules shall apply to all stations owned or managed by Mountain Communications. Those include Y106.3 (WYZY-FM) ROCK105 (WLPW-FM and WRGR-FM) 1240 WNBZ-AM and 920 WIRD-AM, hereinafter referred to as “Station.”
PLAYING THE GAMES
Contestants may participate by listening for their cue to call Station and be the correct caller, attending a station remote broadcast or registering to win during certain promotional giveaways at a “Registration Location” during the course of the specific promotion. Following certain register to win promotions, registration blanks will be removed from registration locations and unless otherwise specified herein destroyed at the discretion of Station upon contest completion. Station reserves the right to make use of information provided by contestants for the purpose of updating contestants about upcoming promotional campaigns and other information relevant to Station.
ODDS OF WINNING
The odds of winning are directly related to the number of participants in the contest. Many will participate,
Many will enter, few will win.
Winners of general Station contests may be of any age but anyone under the age of 16 years of age must have their parent’s permission to participate prior to their active participation. Certain promotional campaigns will require limitations on age. During registration contests, for example, contestants must be over the age of 16 years of age to participate.
Station will only allow one winner per household during the course of any one Giveaway. Larger promotions, however, are exclusive of all other promotions aired on Station, and do not exclude listeners from participating in other Station contests, nor does participating in other Station contests restrict listeners from participating in larger promotions. Contestants in either case, however, must wait a minimum of 30 days before they will be eligible again to win. Winners of any prize valued over $100.00 must reside within Station’s coverage area.
Station Employees, presenting sponsors, their families, friends, and persons living with, along with employees of any other radio Station, their affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies, or suppliers, are not eligible to win. Employees of participating sponsors are not eligible to win prizes provided by the business where they are employed. They may in certain circumstances, however, register or participate at other locations where they are not in the employ of the participating sponsor and are eligible to win prizes not provided by the sponsor where they are employed.
Station giveaways are subject to Federal, State, and Local Laws / Regulations and are void where prohibited. Entry into Station Giveaways constitutes permission to use the name, picture, or likeness of Prize Winners, or any contestant for advertising and publicity purposes whether utilized in television, print, film, video, direct mail, point of sale advertising, email or otherwise without prior approval of the winner. Contestants participating in Station contests specifically authorize Station to communicate with contestant in the future regarding Station events and information relative to Station. All calls to 518-891-3636 or 518-891-5186 are subject to on air broadcast.
CONSIDERATION / INDEMNFICATION
In consideration for any prize, contestants forever release and agree to release Station, Station owners and employees and all other sponsors, their officers, employees, and directors from any claim and liability, injury, loss or damage caused by or arising out of their participation in the contest and acceptance of the prize. Contestants and Winners shall further hold Stations and Sponsors harmless for any acts or occurrences by any party arising out of their participation in the contest.
TAXES / COSTS
All Federal, State, and local taxes, if any are the responsibility of the individual winner, including income and sales tax. Prize winners are responsible for all Taxes and related registration or title fees where applicable. Any additional costs related to a winners receipt of a prize or otherwise incurred as a result of accepting said prize is the sole responsibility of the winner.
FORFEIT OF PRIZES
Unless other arrangements are mutually agreed upon by contestant and Station, all prizes must be picked up at Station, 159 Santanoni Avenue, Saranac Lake, NY, within two weeks of the on air giveaway or they are forfeited and will be re inserted into the prize rotation to be given away again on air. In any event prize will remain the property of Station. All prizes are non transferable and no substitutions are permitted. Station reserves the right to make changes to or substitute prize at any time without notice. Station reserves the right to provide alternate forms of prize delivery should an appropriate need arise including but not limited to lack of proximity to Station, or disability.
A complete set of these Rules is available during regular business hours, at 159 Santanoni Avenue, Saranac Lake, NY, 12983. Station is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, publishing, the offering or the administration of the contest, or in the announcement of a prize.
Station reserves the right to adjust, modify, or make changes to contest rules at any time during the contest without prior notice. Contestants agree to be bound by the rules and the official decisions of the judges.
For registration locations contestants are limited to one entry per person per day contestants who do not adhere to this policy will be disqualified from the current and all future contesting opportunities. No Purchase Necessary. Station is not responsible for (a) lost, stolen, misplaced, misdelivered, illegible, incomplete or late entries; (b) telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, fax errors, equipment malfunctions or any other technical difficulties; (c) computer errors, program placements, unintentional duplication of songs due to equipment malfunction.
Station may disqualify any contestant or participant for cheating or if their participation is determined to be fraudulent, or a winner is determined to have misrepresented their identity in an effort to circumvent eligibility requirements.
