TALK OF THE TOWN – 07/13/12
The Fire in Ray Brook prompts callers to thank the firemen for their work especially as they knocked down the fire which could have become more of a catastrophy than it did…
AUDIO – 071312 – Talk of the Town
A caller also suggested that the train and it’s volunteers also provided assistance with hoses and a connection to the fire’s location. An audio quality note – because we’re beta testing this blog, the audio quality will change a bit until we find a good medium between the radio quality audio and the online audio quality which needs to be set so that you can listen easily and quickly to the content without having to wait.. Today, I think we went a bit too far to the “Low Audio Quality” side so there may be a difference in the audio you hear today vs other days.
Saranac Lake Mayor Clyde Rabideau
If you’ve ever been on vacation, and perhaps somewhere that you’re not as familiar with as you might be with your own hometown, you may be able to relate to Gail Brill, who speaks to SaranacLake’s Village Board about being a Saranac Lake Ambassador.. Brill has been “On Duty twice over the holiday week” and shared some of those duties with the Village’s Mayor who also volunteered as an Adirondack Ambassador during Saturday’s 11:45 trip… Rabideau says he wanted to reach out to more people but it’s hard to make that initial contact… The Mayor says one idea to expand on the concept of getting people downtown could include local stores and restaurants providing discount incentives that Ambassadors could hand out.. The general consensus – People need to know where to go and the solution… more signs pointing people downtown.. maybe even footprints on the sidewalk…
