Give a Pint, Get a Pint!

There's extra incentive to give a pint of blood in September... and quite a sweet incentive!  

When you donate a pint of blood at the Adirondack Regional Blood Center, you'll get a certificate for a certificate for a of Stewart's Ice Cream!  

We're excited to partner with Stewart's Shops for a sweet reward for blood donors. Anyone who gives blood at our Adirondack Regional Blood Center or any participating blood drive throughout Essex, Clinton, Franklin and St. Lawrence counties will receive a certificate for a free pint of Stewart's pre-packaged ice cream or gelato. The promotion lasts throughout the month of September.

“Here in the North Country, neighbors help each other. And Stewart’s is a place where neighbors meet up. So working together to encourage life-saving blood donations makes perfect sense,” said Shannon Nutbrown, operations supervisor at the Adirondack Regional Blood Center. “If you donate one pint, you’re saving up to three lives. Think about how much of a difference you’re making, and you even get a sweet treat out of it.”

“There is such a need for blood donors throughout the Adirondacks,” said Stewart’s Shops chief operating officer Chad Kiesow. “We cannot think of a sweeter way to support our communities and thank donors than for our two organizations to partner and provide free pints of Stewart’s ice cream.”

The Blood Center supplies blood and blood products to patients in need at Alice Hyde Medical Center, Malone, Elizabethtown Community Hospital (including the Ticonderoga campus) and CVPH. In addition to meeting 100% of these facilities’ needs, it also provides blood and blood products to Massena Memorial Hospital and Adirondack Medical Center.

Donations collected at community drives and at the Adirondack Regional Blood Donor Center, located at 85 Plaza Blvd. help thousands of North Country residents. The Blood Donor Center is open Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. Walk ins are always welcome.

Donors must be at least 16-years-old (under 18-years-old requires written parental/guardian consent), in generally good health and weigh at least 110 lbs.

After donating your pint of blood at one of the following locations, you'll get a certificate for a pint of Stewart's Ice Cream!
