Sabrina Carpenter will headline her first major studio movie in an untitled musical inspired by Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures In Wonderland. Lorene Scafaria (Hustlers) will write and direct the project, which Carpenter will also produce. The announcement follows Carpenter's six Grammy nominations last week for her album Short n' Sweet, including album of the year, record of the year and song of the year. Sources say Carpenter pitched the concept to Universal in 2024, with Scafaria joining as the project developed. Netflix had acquired a similar Alice In Wonderland musical pitch from Carpenter in 2020, but that project never materialized. (Story URL)
