Millions will be spent by the state health department to bring dental care to schools in New York State.
The school dental care program includes services for preventive and restorative oral health care delivered directly to schools through fixed sites at schools, mobile dental clinics brought onto school property and portable dental setups in designated spaces within schools. Funding will be distributed to 33 school-based health centers across the state over five years.
