Dr. Ray Carman, Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Political Science at SUNY Plattsburgh The Supreme Court’s 2025-26 term produced some of the most
consequential decisions in years. In this plain-English review, Dr. Carman will examine several of the term’s major cases, including decisions involving presidential emergency tariffs, voting rights, and birthright citizenship. He will also survey other significant rulings, preview cases the justices will hear when they return in October, and answer questions from the audience. No legal background is necessary.
