  Convicted serial killer Rex Heuermann has been transferred to Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora to begin serving multiple life sentences. • Rabid Raccoon Confirmed in Gouverneur Area

  Health officials have confirmed a raccoon in the Gouverneur area has tested positive for rabies, marking the sixth rabid animal identified in St. Lawrence County this year. Residents are urged to keep pets vaccinated, avoid contact with wild animals, and immediately report animal bites or possible rabies exposures to the county Public Health Department.

• Man Held on Drug Charges

  25 year old David P. Scully of Plattsburgh was arrested on multiple drug-related charges, including criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree. Authorities also listed criminal possession of a weapon and additional offenses.

• Criminal Trespass Complaint Filed

  25 year old Joseph Bradley Lohr of Plattsburgh is facing a criminal trespass charge. The arrest followed a complaint investigated by Clinton County authorities. Lohr was issued an appearance ticket and is expected to appear in court at a later date.
