Vin Diesel announced Saturday on Instagram that soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo will appear in Fast X: Part 2, the franchise's final installment. Diesel posted a photo with Ronaldo and wrote, "Everyone asked, would he be in the 'Fast' mythology … I gotta tell you he is a real one. We wrote a role for him." The actor did not reveal details about Ronaldo's character. The movie is scheduled for April 2027 release. Diesel previously announced in February 2024 that this will be the series finale. "This grand finale is not just an ending; it's a celebration of the incredible family we've built together," Diesel said. He also confirmed Universal will finish filming in Los Angeles following the city's recent wildfires, calling it a return home where the franchise began 25 years ago. (Story URL)
