22% of Americans have wriggled out of helping someone move, and 38% hate being asked. The Talker Research survey commissioned by Safeway Moving also found that helpers can be enticed with food, drinks, money, or returning the favor. 60% describe moving as stressful, and 57% have reconsidered moving due to how tiring it can be. "It’s easy to understand why people rope their friends and family into moving, rather than looking to using professionals," Boris Svirsky of Safeway Moving said. "Moving can be a headache — people want to make it as seamless as possible." (Talker Research)
