AI Tools Transform Holiday Shopping As Economic Concerns Rise

A new survey by Talker Research reveals 57 percent of 2,000 U.S. adults utilize AI for shopping assistance, with one-third finding it helpful. During holiday season, 34 percent seek AI gift recommendations, and 74 percent believe it enhances their gifting abilities. Nearly one-third trust AI over friends and family for present ideas. AI excels at locating lowest prices (38 percent), product links (37 percent), and brainstorming gifts (35 percent). Black Friday participation increased to 62 percent from 55 percent in 2022, while Cyber Monday dropped to 56 percent from 66 percent. Expected Black Friday spending rose to $449 from $423 last year. Economic worries dominate, with 43 percent concerned about inflation and 31 percent about tariffs. (Story URL)
