The survey, based on the Cantril Self-Anchoring Striving Scale, found that a median of 33% of adults across 142 countries rated their lives as "thriving." This marks a positive trend in life evaluation over the past decade. Despite variations among different countries, the overall global average has been steadily increasing. The 2024 median life rating was 5.9 out of 10, showing a consistent improvement. Additionally, the future life rating for 2024 was 7.2 out of 10, indicating a positive outlook for the years to come.
