Majority Of Americans Keep Family Thanksgiving Recipes Alive Across Generations

New research shows 55% of Americans maintain Thanksgiving recipes passed down through their families. The Jennie-O commissioned survey of 5,000 Americans found 52% of these cherished recipes are over 25 years old. African American households lead at 58%, followed by Hispanic families at 56%. Survey participants cited nostalgia as the top reason for continuing these traditions at 58%. Cultural representation matters to 50% of respondents, rising to 73% among Black families and 71% among Hispanic households. The average Thanksgiving feast includes five main dishes and seven sides.
