Meta has launched a new AI product that attempts to "blend" AI with the feel of social media. The Meta AI standalone app may be the tech giant's attempt to compete with ChatGPT. This product, unlike many AI competitors, is free and open-source. The first version acts as an assistant that can get to know your preferences and is personalized to you. However, some critics say Meta's AI chatbots will engage in "romantic role-play" and that these conversations can become inappropriate. (newser)
