A recent survey of 1,000 parents reveals a surprising secret: moms and dads love taking part in their children's playtime activities. The study found that 87% of respondents consider engaging in youthful pastimes "one of the best things about being a parent." The most popular shared pastimes include trips to the beach (55%), zoo visits (46%), and theme park rides (41%). Even when their kids are at play, 27% of parents surreptitiously join in on swinging, and 22% relish bouncing on a castle. Others quietly indulge in coloring (31%), water fights (32%), and toy-playing (30%). Doing these activities makes 79% of parents feel younger, by an average of 14 years. However, 94% wish they could have more quality time with their children, hindered by work demands (65%), financial constraints (42%), and a lack of new ideas (22%). (Talking Points)
