Nearly all children (98%) like animals, with 71% drawn to their cuteness. Forty-five percent of parents acknowledge their animal knowledge is inferior to their children's. Despite often not knowing the answers to their children's questions, 45% of parents said animals are often a talking point between them and their children. Many kids have a good understanding of how to care for animals, as 83% knew it was important they should have enough food and water and 75% that they have a safe and comfortable place to rest.
