Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 7:02 PM

A new survey shows Americans typically claim two personal relaxation spots in their homes. The study polled 2,000 U.S. adults and found popular spots include kitchen counters, beanbag chairs, and inherited recliners. Nearly 79% say household members know their designated area. More than half consider their spot "sacred," with 54% taking offense when someone else sits there. The average person established their favorite spot four years ago, though 17% claimed theirs over a decade ago. Gen Z and millennials often have 3-4 different spots. About 58% use their space to relax, while 41% seek quiet time. Americans face workplace stress twice as much as home stress at 59% versus 29%. (Story URL)
