After years of phased in implementation, Brianna’s Law is now fully in effect.
A law that requires all operators of motorized vessels to have a boating safety certificate, is fully in place starting this boating season. Brianna’s Law took effect on January first. All boaters, regardless of age, must carry a state-approved boating safety certificate when operating a motorized boat. The law was phased in over several years, with different age groups becoming subject to the requirement at different times.
