Money to aid with construction at two local libraries was provided by New York State recently.
Two area libraries will get over $60-thousand dollars in construction aid according to State Senator Dan Stec. He said the money is part of a $44 million dollar allocation in the state budget toward financing library construction. Chazy Public Library was given a little more than $32,000 to install a backup generator and energy efficient heat pumps. Mooers Free Library received just over $29,000 for creation of a pavilion on library grounds. Senator Stec said, “Libraries are a bedrock of every community and serve as home to important resources.”
