The presumptive Democrat candidate for the Assembly special election got bipartisan endorsements.
Town of Plattsburgh Supervisor Michael Cashman, recently designated as the presumptive Democratic candidate for the 115th Assembly District special election, hosted a press conference to announce key bipartisan endorsements. Republican Janet Duprey and Democrat incumbent Billy Jones endorsed Cashman at the Plattsburgh Town Hall gathering. Cashman emphasized that his campaign is focused on people, not party labels and said, “The North Country deserves a representative who listens, leads with compassion, and works across divides to get things done”. Meanwhile, on the Republican side it’s presumed that Brent Davison, the retiring State Police Troop B Commander, will likely be the Republican candidate for the Assembly Seat. He received the endorsement of Jerika Manning, Chairwoman of the Clinton County Republican Committee, who holds 57% of the weighted vote among the three Republican Committee chairs voting for a candidate in the special election.
