The State Health Department is announcing a voluntary recall of a powdered infant formula.
A Health Advisory Notice has been issued by the NYS Health Department regarding a voluntarily recall of powdered infant formula distributed nationwide by a company called “By Heart” headquartered in NY City. The advisory was issued following a multistate outbreak of infant botulism the health department said. The recall was announced by the Food and Drug Administration. So far, no cases have been reported in NY, but 13 cases of infant botulism have been reported across 10 other states according to the NY State Department of Health.
