Beekmantown soccer players have organized special, fundraising soccer games to aid Cancer Society.
According to a press release written by Jacob Rabideau, an 8th grade student at Beekmantown, the girls’ pink soccer game will be held on the Beekmantown High School turf at 6pm and every player will be wearing pink. The goal is to raise awareness for the American Cancer Society and for breast cancer. The boys modified squad will play their pink game on the Town Hall field in Beekmantown at 4:00pm and they will be collecting donations for the American Cancer Society. Jacob Rabideau said they are “on a mission to boost the event to get even more people to attend the game this year”. He said, “We want people to turn out to help our cause.”
