State Police say initial investigation shows no sign of foul play in death of transient man in Plattsburgh.
An autopsy is expected to take place on the remains of a 51-year-old man who State Police describe as transient. The body of Joseph J. Alix was found behind Liquor and Wine Warehouse on Smithfield Boulevard Saturday afternoon. Troopers say the Clinton County Deputy Coroner arrived at the scene, pronounced Alix deceased, and ordered the removal of his body.
