Another North Country leader is asking the state to bring energy plan public hearings to the area.
There’s another call for energy officials to provide the North Country with in-person public hearings for a proposed Energy Plan. Town Supervisor and Assembly candidate, Michael Cashman, is calling on state leaders and NYSERDA to provide the North Country in-person outreach to as a 15-year clean energy transition plan is developed. Cashman said a virtual meeting is not a solution for a region where reliable internet is lacking. Several downstate locations have presentations that people can attend while only a virtual hearing is planned for Northern NY.
