The Cardinal Cupboard at SUNY Plattsburgh has grown to meet an increasing need officials report.
The Cardinal Cupboard, at SUNY Plattsburgh, has grown from a coat closet to a fully stocked market according to college officials. They say the increased size is in sync with the growing student need for basic food and supplies they can’t afford. Erin Cincotta, the interim Cardinal Cupboard coordinator, said students in need go online, submit an order and pick it up at the cupboard. Cincotta noted orders average 20-25 items and include personal care products like shampoo, conditioner and body wash as well as food.
