If approved, the state will add another $391 million into the effort to grow internet service statewide.
The Governor announced that approximately $391 million in proposed awards under the ConnectALL program will go to 11 internet service providers if approved by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration. In acknowledging the lack of service in parts of the state the Governor Hochul said, “In this day and age, internet access is no longer just a luxury — it is a necessity.”
