CONSUMER ALERT: New York State officials say unsafe child car seats are being sold on the internet.
The State’s Division of Consumer Protection warns that Counterfeit child car seats sold on the internet are becoming a real problem and they’ve issued an alert. Secretary of State Walter Mosley recommends reading the tips for buying child car seats on the consumer protection website. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, motor vehicle injuries are a leading cause of death among children in the U.S. Officials say many of these deaths can be prevented with car seats that meet safety standards and are properly installed.
