NY State has given its okay to sell the Clinton County nursing home to a private operator.
In a statement released by Clinton County officials it was announced that approval from the New York State Public Health and Health Planning Council was given for the sale of its County-owned nursing home facility to a qualified private operator. Chair of the Clinton County Legislature, Mark Henry, said "This was not a decision made lightly, but one grounded in our responsibility to care for our seniors, support their families and our staff, ensure the long-term viability of the nursing home, and protect the financial well-being of county residents." The County said current employees will be offered employment under the new operator, with competitive pay and benefits.
