The New York State Assembly will look into the use of Electronic materials in libraries statewide.
A hearing to explore the integration of electronic materials in public libraries will take place tomorrow in Albany. Assembly Libraries and Education Technology Committee Chair, Robert Carroll, will take testimony to examine the impact electronic offerings have on the evolution of operations at public libraries in the state. Feedback will also be sought at the hearing on ways legislative action can bolster libraries in their role as community centers and their ability to provide a diverse range of services.
