The Empire State Winter games will add bowling to the lineup of wintertime sports this year.
Organizers of the Empire State Winter Games say the sport of bowling is expected to draw up to 80 athletes competing in boys’ and girls’ youth divisions as well as men’s and women’s adult categories. The six-game tournament will take place at Lucky Strike Lanes in Malone. Athletes from across New York, the Northeastern United States, and Canada are expected to participate in this year’s games that include figure skating, ice hockey, Nordic skiing, and speed skating. The games start on February 5th with an opening ceremony in Lake Placid at the Herb Brooks Arena.
