The Essex County Health Department reported that the inaugural community baby shower was a hit.
The event was designed to support expecting parents, caregivers and families with infants under one year old by connecting them with local resources and health education. The Health Department said the "Growing Together" themed event drew nearly 50 new and expecting parents. The Director for the Essex County Health Department, Linda Beers, said the event was about connecting families with local resources and ensuring a healthy start to their parenting journey.
