Ideas for the reuse of Clinton Community College property were outlined by the county Development Agency.
Three redevelopment concepts for the former Community College campus were unveiled by the Clinton County Industrial Development Agency yesterday. The concepts include a family-oriented destination focused on storytelling and recreation called “Lake Champlain Adventure and Discovery Campus”. The second concept, “Champlain Nexus”, would be a hub for environmental research and sustainable manufacturing. Lastly, would be – “Eco-Voyage Champlain”– An eco-tourism campus emphasizing renewable systems. Mark Henry, Chairman of the Clinton County Legislature said, “As owners of the property, the County Legislature is committed to seeing it used in ways that benefit our residents and strengthen our regional economy.” Molly Ryan, Executive Director of the county Industrial Development Agency said, “This study represents the start of a new chapter for this incredible asset.”
