A 76-year-old man, identified as Leslie Saltsman of Fort Ann, died after being pinned under a tree in a wooded area on Copeland Pond Road. The incident occurred just after 5 p.m. on Tuesday, and Saltsman was found more than half a mile from the roadway with severe crushing injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. New York State Police are investigating the incident, though they do not consider the death suspicious. The investigation is ongoing.
