The town office now displays historic items that were at Clinton Community College.
Two important artifacts symbolizing the region’s military and maritime history have found a new home at the Plattsburgh Town office according to Supervisor Michael Cashman. He said an historic cannon and anchor were moved from Clinton Community College to the town as the college transitions to SUNY Plattsburgh. The anchor came off the USS Preble, an American naval vessel that was part of the Battle of Plattsburgh. Supervisor Cashman said the Town Hall is a great location for these artifacts as it meets the requirements of the historical display.
