Hydrant Flushing in Plattsburgh

The City of Plattsburgh Department of Public Works will flow fire hydrants. That could lead to discolored water in homes.

The hydrant flushing will take place each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until complete. It starts at approximately 7:30am and continues until about 2:00pm. The City’s Department of Public Works warns that water coming out of home faucets may be cloudy or rust colored in the flushing area. Residents should avoid washing clothes or bathing during these days & times.
