NY State Inflation refund checks will start going out to qualified tax filers by the end of the month.
The one-time inflation check will automatically be sent to those who qualify. Checks will be mailed over a period of several weeks starting at the end of September. Qualifications for getting a check include the filing of a state resident tax return with reported income in the approved thresholds and were not claimed as a dependent on another tax filers return. Payments range from $150 to $400 based on income and filing status. The check will be sent to the address on the most recent income tax form. If you have moved the address can be updated online.
