Gerald “Gerry” Morrow, the longtime supervisor of the Town of Chesterfield, died suddenly on March 24, at the age of 76, after suffering a stroke. Morrow dedicated 34 years to local government, with 26 of those years spent as town supervisor until his retirement in 2019. Friends and colleagues remembered Morrow as a hardworking, passionate leader who always put his town and its residents first. Former Town of Jay supervisor Randy Douglas called Morrow the "hardest worker" he had ever worked with, adding that Morrow was a man of integrity who never held grudges. Morrow is survived by his daughter, Lisa, after the death of his wife, Diane, in 2007.
