The Town of Plattsburgh received grant funding to help plan and design a 70-unit housing development.
The Town of Plattsburgh has been awarded over $160,000 from the state Homes and Community Renewal to expand workforce housing in the region. The funding will support an innovative partnership between the town, Joint Council for Economic opportunity. and the Plattsburgh Housing Authority. The grant will be used to study, plan, and design a shovel-ready 70-unit housing development to be located on Wallace Hill Road extension adjacent to White Pine Commons, which is owned by JCEO. Plattsburgh Town Supervisor, Chuck Kostyk, said this award is a significant investment in the future of the community.
