The drought warning has been lifted for the North Country and the status has been returned to "Normal".
Clinton, Essex and Franklin Counties in the Adirondack region are no longer under a drought watch according to the State's Drought Management Task Force. The change in status comes after the DEC and Drought Task Force assessed recent precipitation and elevated levels of ground and surface water. The only areas of the state remaining in a Drought Watch are the Long Island counties of Nassau and Suffolk.
