North Country Flu

The New York State Health Department has confirmed cases of flu are on the rise in the North Country.

Lab-confirmed flu cases have been reported in Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties as well as 59 other counties in the state according to the health department.  Health Commissioner, Dr. James McDonald, declared flu prevalent across the state. In the past week, cases were up 80% and hospitalizations due to flu climbed by 93% as reported by the Health Department.  Officials say COVID continues to cause illness across the state and RSV cases are rising statewide as well.
