The New York State budget that's currently before state law makers reportedly has a huge price tag.
According to Assemblyman Matt Simpson the state budget that’s being crafted in Albany currently carries an estimated price of over $272 billion. In a statement Simpson said this record-setting spending wish list is under development while the state faces a severe affordability crisis. He added that nearly a million people have left the state since 2020 and ballooning budgets will only accelerate the exodus.
