State Police are focusing their efforts on speeding and aggressive drivers this week.
Speeding and aggressive drivers are the primary targets of a special traffic enforcement initiative that’s going on now through June 15th. Troopers are also targeting drivers who violate New York’s “Move Over” Law. Speeding is listed as a contributing factor in nearly one third of all fatal crashes in New York State. During last years “Speed Week” campaign, Troopers issued 22,476 total traffic tickets, including 11,175 for speeding and 592 for violations of the Move Over law.
