A proposed increase for the for the Plattsburgh town budget came in under the New York State tax cap.
The total proposed town of Plattsburgh budget for next year is just under $22.5 million. That’s up by almost $5 million from this year’s budget and under the New York state tax cap. Town supervisor, Michael Cashman, said “We have taken a very conservative spending approach to ensure the long-term financial health of our town”. A public hearing on the preliminary budget is set for Thursday, November 6, at the Town Hall. Copies of the budget will be available in the Plattsburgh Town Clerk's Office or online.
